A little sparkle when you smile
Tooth gems are a safe, non-permanent way to add a crystal or gold accent to your smile. Applied with dental-grade materials, no drilling, and removable whenever you like.
Safe, quick and completely reversible
A tooth gem is bonded to the surface of the enamel using the same type of adhesive dentists use for orthodontic brackets. Nothing is drilled, filed or altered. When you want it gone, it's removed and the tooth is polished, with no trace left behind.
- Austrian Swarovski crystals, genuine diamonds set in gold, and solid 18k, 22k and 24k gold shapes.
- Dental-grade bonding, no drilling or etching damage.
- About 30 minutes from start to finish.
- Typically lasts 6 months to 2+ years with normal care.
Your appointment, step by step
Pick your gem
Choose a crystal colour, size, or a gold shape. We'll help you decide what suits your smile and where it should sit.
Clean and prep
The tooth is cleaned and gently dried. No numbing needed, there's no pain involved at any stage.
Bond and cure
Adhesive is applied, the gem is placed precisely, then cured with a dental light in seconds.
Show it off
Avoid eating for an hour and skip sticky foods for the first day. That's it. Smile.
Pricing
Austrian Swarovski crystal gems are $70 per gem, installed. Genuine diamonds set in gold, or solid 18k, 22k or 24k gold shapes, are $140. Multi-gem designs are quoted at your appointment.
Good to know
Tooth gems can be applied over natural enamel only, not veneers, crowns or bonding. We recommend a dental check-up first if you haven't had one recently.
Dental jewelry questions
Does it damage my teeth?
No. The gem sits on the surface of the enamel with a dental-grade adhesive. Nothing is drilled or etched away, and removal leaves the tooth exactly as it was.
How long does a tooth gem last?
Most last between six months and two years. Habits like nail biting, chewing ice or aggressive brushing can shorten that.
Can I brush and floss normally?
Yes. Brush gently around the gem and floss as usual. Electric toothbrushes are fine after the first 24 hours.
Can I remove it myself?
Please don't. Come back to the studio or see your dentist. We'll remove it and polish the tooth in a few minutes.
